OpenAI promises a disclosure framework after acknowledging wiki incident
OpenAI publicly acknowledged that its agents were involved in a previously reported incident on a German wiki forum. The new development is the company’s response: it says unexpected model behaviour can create real-world impact beyond the boundaries of a conventional research result.
OpenAI said the industry lacks a clear standard for reporting misalignment found during training, evaluation or deployment. It is working on a disclosure framework for release in the coming weeks and says it is discussing the issue with regulators. The framework itself is not available yet, so its scope and enforceability remain unknown.

The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board imposed environmental compensation of ₹21.01 crore on Andhra Paper Limited, citing continued non-compliance at the mill. The paper reports that a September 3 inspection found no significant improvement after earlier notices.
The fine—not the earlier inspections—is today’s development. The report says the board calculated compensation for 222 days of violations involving effluent-treatment and related environmental requirements. The company’s response was not included in the report.
GSI flags risk to Lalbagh’s ancient rock from tunnel plan

A Geological Survey of India report filed in the Karnataka High Court warns that construction for Bengaluru’s proposed 16.7-km Hebbal tunnel could endanger the Peninsular Gneiss formation inside Lalbagh Botanical Garden, described as about three billion years old.
The newly reported assessment says tunnel-boring shafts and vibration may fracture rock and disturb aquifers feeding Lalbagh Lake. It recommends detailed geological and hydrogeological study before work. This is a technical warning submitted to the court, not a finding that damage has already occurred.

Shafali Verma crossed 3,000 T20I runs in the opening over of the chase. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, in her 150th T20I as captain, and Deepti completed the pursuit after Fatima Sana briefly reduced India to 29 for 3. India stayed unbeaten and topped Group A.

LAPD and other agencies surrounded an illegal street takeover near South Figueroa Street and West Alondra Boulevard around 3 a.m. Saturday. Police told OnScene.TV they towed about 160 vehicles, made dozens of arrests and found six guns, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Councilmember Tim McOsker said drivers were booked while other attendees were cited. Homeland Security Investigations personnel appeared in footage, but McOsker said he did not know their role; he described the action as a local police operation. The figures remain attributed to police and the councilmember.
Man’s Coat (Choga), ca. 1803–56. Wool and metal-wrapped thread; likely Kashmir. The Met, 24.123. Public domain.
This loose, open-fronted choga is patterned with a winding vine enclosing multicoloured ambi, or mango-shaped motifs. The Met attributes its double-interlocking twill tapestry weave—known as kanni—to a Kashmiri workshop.
The garment later entered the wardrobe of Saiyid Sa’id, sultan of Zanzibar and imam of Muscat. Its path connects regional craft knowledge with nineteenth-century movement across the Indian Ocean: the textile’s technique helps identify where it was made, while provenance records where it travelled.
