Excited to share that I’ll be speaking at the GatherVerse XREvolve Summit 2025 ✨
Immersive systems learn from bodies. Head movement, hand motion, gaze, timing, and navigation patterns can reveal how an experience is working. They can also reveal who the user is, even after the obvious identifiers are removed.
Privacy in the loop means treating protection as part of the data workflow rather than a cleanup step at the end. Synthetic data and encryption are not magic erasers, but they give us ways to preserve analytical value while reducing exposure. The bigger goal is simple: useful insight should not depend on making a person unnecessarily identifiable.
My talk is called “Privacy in the Loop: Rethinking XR Telemetry Through Synthetic Data.” I’ll be talking about how we can protect user identity in immersive systems while still gaining useful insights.
The summit will be held online on June 24 and 25. Grateful to the team at GatherVerse for the opportunity to be part of this important conversation.

This is still one of the threads running through almost everything I build: useful technology should not require people to surrender more of themselves than the experience truly needs. Privacy is not a final checkbox. It is part of the product architecture.
