I’m happy to announce a tiny taara milestone 🌌
Launching a game changes your relationship with every decision you made alone. Suddenly the hint that felt obvious is not obvious, the constellation you thought was difficult is solved in seconds, and someone finds an interaction you did not even realize you had designed.
I spent that first night watching the numbers, reading feedback, and making fixes much later than I planned. It was exhausting in the very fun way. Taara stopped being my private idea the moment the first person lit a star; from then on, the players were helping shape the sky too.
Yesterday I launched Taara (తార), a little constellation game I built for Reddit, Inc. ’s Games with a Hook Hackathon.
So far…
🐈⬛ Lynx was our first reveal ⭐ 712 stars were lit 👀 89 stargazers collected their first constellation!
It’s been really fun watching people race for the leaderboard, find constellations faster than I expected, and leave feedback that I’ve spent all night implementing 😅
Tonight’s sky is now live!
If you’ve got 2 minutes, I’d love for you to give it a try and let me know:
• Was it fun? • Did you actually remember the constellation afterward? • What would make you come back tomorrow?

Thanks to everyone who’s played so far ✨

What I remember most is the shift from an idea in my head to something another person could actually touch. Shipping makes the questions sharper, the feedback more honest, and the next version much easier to imagine.
