Thank you, Dr. Basu, for your invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout this journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to work on this important research, and I'm excited to continue taking up the cause of inclusivity within the XR community. Looking forward to presenting our findings and contributing to a more equitable technological future! 🌟
Inclusivity in XR can sound abstract until you look at who a system was tested on, whose body the interaction assumes, and who repeatedly has to adapt themselves to make the technology work. Bias is often hiding in defaults that were never questioned.
Working on this research made inclusion feel less like an extra evaluation category and more like a core engineering responsibility. If an immersive system only works equitably for the people most represented in its data and design process, it is not finished.

Looking back, mentoring has become one of the clearest ways I understand my own growth. Every question from another builder makes me articulate what I know, notice what I still need to learn, and remember how much a little encouragement mattered when I was starting.
