Conferences are valuable because of who someone might meet, but networking well requires preparation, memory, confidence, and situational awareness.

How the idea took shape
In a crowded room, a familiar face may appear before the person’s name, company, work, or previous conversation comes back to mind. By the time it does, the moment may have passed.
NetworkXR explores how lightweight AR glasses could reduce that cognitive load. The prototype supports preparation before an event, limited contextual recall during a conversation, and a useful follow-up afterward. It does not claim facial recognition.
I proposed the original concept for a team project during the Google Android XR Hackathon. The team then shaped the prototype with feedback from Google mentors for XREAL Project Aura glasses.
The project won first place. More importantly, it suggested a real product opportunity for conferences, professional communities, and events where remembering context can make an interaction feel more natural instead of more automated.
